ही घटना तशी नेमकी किती सालातील आहे हे आता नीट आठवत नाही.पण प्रसंग आजही एकदम काल परवा घडला असाच आहे. तो दिवस होता १४ एप्रिल, भारतरत्न डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर जयंती. |
शाळेला सुट्टी असल्यामुळे सकाळी एकदम निवांत उठलो असेन. घरात आज सगळ्यांनाच सुट्टी असल्यामुळे काहीच गडबड नव्हती, त्यावेळी फक्त पेपर आणि दूरदर्शन इतकेच असल्यामुळे सकाळी दात घासत घासत पेपर पाहत होतो.
"राजू अटप पटपट" आजीच्या अतून आवाज आला
"होsss" तोंडातील ब्रश तसात ठेऊन आजीला उत्तर दिले
"झाले का रे दात घासून?" आता आईचा आवाज आला
बापरे आज एकदम दोघींनी आवाज दिला म्हणजे ? मनात प्रश्न पडतच तोंड धुतले
"झाले, काय घाई आहे आज. सुट्टीच तर आहे की?" कृष्णाने निवांत प्रश्न केला.
"अरे आज डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांची जयंती म्हणून सगळ्यांना सुट्टी आहे याचा अर्थ उशीर करायचा असा होत नाही"बाबांची पूजा आता संपत आलीच होती त्यामुळे ते पण कृष्णाला समजवत होते.
"मग काय झाले? त्यात काय वेगळे?" कृष्णा वैतागून म्हणाला
"बाबसाहेब यांचे कार्य तुला आता नाही समजणार, मोठा झाला की समजेल तुला" आई म्हणाली... आणि विषय अर्धवट सुटला
"अगं अगं बातमी समजली का?" बाबा गडबडीत बोलत घरात येत म्हणत आले. "कृष्णा कुठे आहे? त्याचे मित्र कुठे आहेत?"
काळजीने प्रश्न विचारता बाबा अंगण ओलांडत आत आले.
"काय झाले? इतकी काय गडबड? काय झाले आहे?" आईने बाबांना विचारले.
"राजू घरातच आहे की, जाईल आता मित्रांसोबत खेळायला अजून बराच उजेड आहे."आजीने जुन्या काळातील घड्याळ वापरून बाबांना सांगितले.
"आज नका पाठवू त्याला बाहेर. हवे तर अंगणात खेळायला सांगा सगळ्यांना" बाबा काही तरी लपवत म्हणाले.
"अरे काय झाले ते तर सांग आधी" आजी बाबांना विचारती झाली.
"आई, आज डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या जयंतीची मिरवणूक सुरू झाली... ती मिरवणूक पुढे पुढे सरकत गावातील सरकारी मैदान या भागात आली आणि...एक मोठा आवाज झाला...वाटले की तो कुढल्या तरी स्पोटाचा असेल पण तो ट्रकचा आवाज निघाला...या ट्रकवर अनेक लहान मुले, स्त्रिया होते आणि ट्रकची डिझेलचा टाकी आपोआप फुटली,कदाचित उन्ह खूप असेल किंवा अन्य काही कारण असेल पण ते अजून समजले नाहीये. गावात सगळीकडे पळापळ, अग्निशमन दलाच्या गाड्या आणि काही प्रमाणात दंगल असे सुरू झाली आहे. म्हणून काळजीने घरात निरोप द्यायला आलो. मी परत जाणार आहे. काही मदत लागली तर..." बाबा आले आणि निरोप देवून लगेच घटनास्थळी निघाले देखील... आजी त्यांना अडवत असून देखील ते निघाले हे लहान कृष्णाने भिंती अडून पाहिले होते.
दुसऱ्यादिवशी पेपर मध्ये काल झालेली घटना त्याचे फोटो आले तेव्हा सविस्तर बातमी सगळ्यांनी एकत्रित वाचली... यात काहींना त्यांचा जीव गमवावा लागला, तर काहींना जन्मभराचे अपंगत्व आले. घटना भयावह होती आणि दुःखत पण होती. माणसांनी पूर्ण गच्च भरलेला ट्रक पेटला होता. जीव वाचवण्यासाठी चेंगराचेंगरी झाली होती... अनेक जणांनी लगेच सेवाकार्य सुरू केले होते.त्यात रा.स्व.संघ अग्रणी होताच...
लहान वयात संघ शाखा, घरातील संस्कार आणि पुढे संघकामाची गोडी यामुळे समरसता, सर्व समाजाचा एकरूपभाव सुखात दुःखात मदतीला धावून जाणे हे लहान असताना बाबांनी कृतीतून दाखवून दिलेला संस्कार तसेच संघाचा एकत्रितपणे समाजाचे काम करण्याची मानसिक शारीरिक तयारी हे गुण आपोआप कृष्णा यायला सुरुवात होऊ लागली..आपण पण या समजाचे काही देणे लागतो ही भावना लहान वयातच कळली.
या तून हेच नक्की लक्षात येईल की सगळ्यांनी आपल्या मनात कायम समजासाठी काम करावे ही भावना ठेवावी. हाच यामागचा प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न आहे.

I don't remember exactly how many years ago this incident happened. But the incident still seems like it happened yesterday. That day was April 14, Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti.
I would have woken up very relaxed in the morning as it was a school holiday. There was no disturbance in the house as everyone was on holiday today, at that time there was only paper and television, so in the morning I watched the paper while brushing my teeth.
"Raju atap patpat" came the voice of the grandmother
"Ho " answered the grandmother, keeping the brush in her mouth
"Did you brush your teeth?" Now mother's voice came
Bapre, today both of them gave their voice? He washed his face as the question came to his mind
"Done, what a rush today. Is it a holiday or not?" Krishna asked calmly.
"Oh, today is a holiday for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary, it doesn't mean to delay" Baba's worship was about to end, so he was explaining to Krishna.
"So what happened? What's different about it?" Krishna said annoyed
"You will not understand Babasaheb's work now, you will understand when you grow up" said mother... and the topic was partially solved
"Hey guys, did you get the news?" Baba came into the house talking in confusion. "Where is Krishna? Where are his friends?"
Baba crossed the courtyard and came in, asking questions with concern.
"What's wrong? What's all the fuss? What's wrong?" Mother asked father.
"If Raju is at home, it's still light enough to play with friends." Grandma told Baba using the old time clock.
"Don't send him out today. If you want, ask everyone to play in the yard," said Dad hiding something.
"Oh tell me what happened first" Aji asked Baba.
"Mother, today the birth anniversary procession of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar started... The procession moved forward and reached the area of the government ground in the village and... there was a loud noise... I thought it would be a rumble but it turned out to be the sound of a truck. ..there were many children, women on this truck and the diesel tank of the truck burst spontaneously, maybe it was too hot or some other reason but it is not yet understood. All over the village there is a stampede, fire engines and some riots. So worried. To say goodbye to the housecame I'm going back. If you need any help..." Baba came and immediately left for the spot after saying goodbye... Little Krishna watched from the walls as he left even though his grandmother was stopping him.

On the second day, when the photos of yesterday's incident came in the paper, everyone read the detailed news together... In this some lost their lives, some were disabled for life. The incident was horrifying and sad. A truck full of people was on fire
There was a stampede to save lives...many immediately began to serve. As soon as Rashtriya Swayam Sangh took the lead in it...
Sangh Shakha at an early age, family rituals and later the taste of Sangh work, harmony, the unity of the whole community, running to help in times of happiness and sorrows are the Sanskars demonstrated by Baba in action at a young age, as well as the mental and physical inculcation of the Sangh to work together in the society.
This quality of preparation automatically started coming to Krishna.. We also got the feeling that we owe something to this understanding at an early age.
From this it will be clearly realized that everyone should always keep the feeling of working for understanding in their hearts. This is the sincere effort.

सुंदर लेखन. खरंच आपण या समाजाचे काही देणे लागतो, हि भावना सतत मनामध्ये ठेवली पाहिजे आणि शक्य होईल त्या मार्गाने समाजासाठी काही ना काही तरी करत राहिले.
