अशा सगळ्या अडचणी हळू हळू पार करत आम्ही पुढे पुढे जात होतो, अडचणी येतात आणि आपण त्याला तोंड देत पुढे पुढे कधी जातो हे कळत नाही, आणि त्या रात्रीच्या अडचणी तर मागे वळून पाहिल्या तर दिसत पण नव्हत्या.मागील अंधार इतका होता की मागे वळून अडचणी पाहिल्या तरी दिसल्या नाहीत.

ढगात हरवलेली सुवेळा माची,राजगड

हळू हळू अडचणीला आम्ही मागे टाकले होते आणि आता गडाच्या मध्यावर आलो होतो. निसर्ग हा कायम आपल्याला त्याची खूप वेगवेगळी रूप दाखवत असतो, आपण फक्त ती डोळसपणे पाहिली पाहिजेत, गडाच्या मध्यावर आलो की दोन्ही बाजूला दरी होती, त्यामुळे वारा गडाच्या अंगावर मनसोक्त खेळत होता, पावसाचा जोर जरा वाढला होता, त्यामुळे पाऊस आणि वारा मुक्तपणे आमचा सगळा क्षीण कमी करत होते. विजेरीच्या प्रकाशात पाहिले तर चक्क वारा पावसाला परत आकाशाकडे आणि चारी दिशांना फिरवत होता. हे निसर्ग साैंदर्य नेहमी नेहमी पाहायला आणि अनुभवायला मिळत नाही.

मला नेहमी वाटते, काही काही वेळा, जागा, प्रसंग असे असतात की ते फक्त आणि फक्त आपण जगायचे, अनुभवायचे असतात,...असेच सगळे मित्र एकमेकांना सांभाळून गड चढत होते,आणि शेवटचे पण अतिशय अवघड( पहिली वेळ होती म्हणून, आता काहीच वाटत नाही ) चढण आले. अनुभवी मित्र सोबत होते त्यामुळे एक वाटाड्या पुढे जसे सांगत गेला तसे वर चढत गेलो. कधी पूर्ण पाय...कधी फक्त पायाचा चवडा....कधी फक्त हाताची पहिली पेर...कधी चारच बोटं , असे चढण चढून वर एका २*२ च्या दरवाज्यातून गडावर प्रवेश...म्हणजे माझे पहिले पाऊल पडले...

पद्मावती माची वरील एक बुरुज,राजगड

तेव्हा पासून आज पर्यंत कितीवेळ गेलो तरी त्या पहिल्या पायरीला वंदन केल्याशिवाय कधीच पुढे गेलेलो नाही. पद्मावती माचीवर आलो आणि पद्मवती देवीच्या मंदिरात रात्री मुक्काम करायचा होता, देवळात पूर्ण अंधार होता,आणि आमच्यासारखे अनेक जण त्यात आधीच आलेले होते , पण त्या रात्री मंदिरातील ही गर्दी बरी वाटत होती, कारण कोणी कोपऱ्यात चुली, स्टो, पेटविला होता, त्यामुळे मंदिरात जरा गरमी तयार झालेली होती.

आम्ही जवळ जवळ ५-६ तास पूर्ण भिजून आणि वाऱ्यातून वर आलो होतो......सगळेच पाऊस, वारा, थंडी याचा आस्वाद घेऊन आलो होतो.....
